In Ljubljana, at the beginning of Eastern Europe’s transitional and turbulent time in 1993, Jelena opens a concept store conceived as a sales gallery.

A beautiful and quite impressive building in the old town of Ljubljana, bearing the inscription Cliché on the façade – it has been witness to nationalisation and denationalisation, socialism and capitalism. The building has its own history, while the Cliché shop-gallery owns the present and features a complex, constructive atmosphere of the third millennium. Its space opens generously out onto the street and day by day the street softly oozes in; at the back of the shop the dressing room gently leans against the atrium, mysterious in its form of detachment. With its visual and sound elements, and perfume the interior design is simply overwhelming.
